Mrs. George graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2012. From 2007-2008 she interned at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Panama City as a high school student, then continued her internships throughout college as a DoD SMART Scholar. Since 2009, she have been working in Diving and Life Support Systems as an engineer.
Throughout her tenure at NSWC PCD, Mrs. George has worked on projects under various CRADAs. She attended her first FLC National Meeting in 2015 and has been involved ever since. Currently, she is NSWC PCDs STEM Outreach Programs Manager. As part of this position, Mrs. George negotiates Education Partnership Agreements and works alongside NSWC PCDs ORTA and legal office on various technology transfer projects in the community.”
The Southeast is such an important region in the FLC. The technology community is still working hard, even after Hurricane Michael devastated the area. I want to make sure that our community continues to have a strong presence among the Federal Labs and that our technology transfer opportunities can be shared with everyone.
