Kevin Brand serves as a Senior Advisor in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Technology and Innovation. In this capacity, he supports Agency work to build and strengthen strategic partnerships with the private section. He also serves as an Agency resource to advise how to utilize technology transfer authorities to advance the research initiatives of the CDC, inclusive of work to transfer research findings to the public/private sector. He also acts as the CDC liaison with the technology transfer community at the National Institutes of Health. Mr. Brand currently serves as the deputy regional coordinator for the Southeast region of the Federal Laboratory Consortium.
Prior to joining the CDC, he served as a senior technology transfer officer with the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR). Previous to joining FNLCR, he was a technology transfer specialist with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where he was a two-time awardee of the NIH/NCI Director’s Award.
