Dick Paul is vice chair of the FLC’s National Advisory Council. He has 40 years of R&D-related management experience after serving in the US Air Force for 33 years and The Boeing Company for seven years. In the Air Force, Dick spent his last 12 years in various S&T organizations, concluding his career as the commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory. At Boeing, Dick served as a Vice President in Boeing’s centralized research and technology organization.
In addition to serving on the FLC NAC, Dick is a member of Army, Air Force, and NSF advisory boards related to science & technology, professional military education, and small business innovation research programs, respectively. He is a former chair of the Industrial Research Institute.
